We are a proudly multi-award-winning regional events company based in Sussex, specialising in corporate fundraising lunches and dinners. Since our inception in 2009, we have raised over one million pounds for numerous worthy causes, making a lasting impact in our community.Our events are known for their star power, featuring A-list guests from the worlds of Sport, Broadcasting, Stage, and Screen, alongside our engaging and charismatic MCs. These exceptional individuals make our events truly unforgettable.

In recognition of our dedication and achievements, we were honoured to receive Small Business of the Year in 2024 at the Platinum Business Awards, and The Community Champion – Community Business of the Year at the Sussex Chamber Awards in 2023.

At Best of British Events, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our clients and their guests. From the quality of our celebrity speakers, to the standard of the food and service levels at our premier hotel partners, we have our guests’ experience front of mind in all we do.

Whilst continuing to showcase the very best in British sporting talent, we have been fortunate to work with the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Samantha Bond, Colin Salmon & David Dimbleby as we move beyond solely putting on sporting legends at our events. Watch out for many more stars of stage & screen (and sport of course!) in the coming years. Our special guest speakers, including sporting heroes such as Mike Tindall MBE, Kevin Keegan, Frank Bruno, Phil Tufnell and Jon Barnes, will always make our events an even more memorable experience for your guests. British sporting legends (sadly no longer with us) Sir Henry Cooper AND Gordon Banks shared the stage at our very first event in 2009 and we’ve maintained that level of star studded standard ever since, much to the delight of our returning clients; sponsors and guests.

 

The vast majority of our events comprise of corporate tables of 10. We very rarely sell individual tickets, nor do we promote or advertise our events to the general public. We are a vehicle for the regional business community to come together for the perfect client hospitality guest experience and therefore senior level networking opportunities at our events are boundless. 90% of our clients will automatically re-book for the following years event without hesitation. ‘for great causes’

Our charitable endeavours are of paramount importance to us. Since 2009, we’ve helped raise over ¾ £million for a variety of regional causes. These include: Chestnut Tree House; Rockinghorse Children’s Charity; Chailey Heritage; Dame Vera Lynn’s Childrens Charity; The Starr Trust; Children’s Respite Trust & the Teenage Cancer Trust. We will always hold a philanthropic outlook within our company ethos and we look forward to raising vital funds for many other worthy causes in the years to come.

We have also been delighted to receive awards for our business and for supporting charities in our community, including a Sussex Business Award plus Sussex and Regional Chambers Awards.

Launched in 2021, the Best of British Members Club – BBMC – has been successfully running for over four years, bringing together some of Sussex’s leading business leaders.
